James graduated from the University of Salford with an aeronautical engineering degree, gained an MSc. in Advanced Manufacturing Technology at the University of Portsmouth and is currently studying for a Ph.D. at the University of Edinburgh. His area of research is creating computer software for AM tool design and simulation.
